Sacred Cloths from Peru
These
unique, one of a kind cloth are hand embroidered in the
Amazon Jungle by Shipibo tribes women who drink the sacred
drink, Ayahuasca. This magical medicine drink, leads the
tribe women on a journey envisioning impeccable geometric
designs.
Ayahuasca,
a sacred plant drink, is considered by many to be a holistic
purge of body, mind and spirit, cleansing and healing to
those who see its rewards in good faith with open
heart and mind. These unique, one of a kind cloths are hand
embroidered and/or hand painted in the Amazon Jungle by
tribes women who drink Ayahuasca. The magical medicine drink,
leads the tribe women on a journey envisioning impeccable
geometric designs.
These items are offered in
the spirit of Fair Trade. Joseph and Nicole have been helping
the Shamans; Alfredo, Shakti and their son Omkara since
their return from Peru in 2005.
Proceeds from the sale of
these cloths go to the tribes peoples who made them, which
help their community and the health and development for
their children.
